Kreisel 99 is the latest Mike Ink label, which in theory will release 52 7" for the year 1999. The theory behind the label is reissue deleted tracks, present new artists and generally raise the spectre of mystery along the Cologne electronic scene. Seems to be an emphasis on early/mid-90s classic acid sound. General expected information like artist and track listings are excluded; each record comes in a different colored sleeve and is numbered 1 of 52, and that's it. Very limited in production & tough to keep up with. Musically essential if you're interested in the roots of contemporary Cologne diversification & you might even want to seriously try to collect them all.
